Dear Atlantic Terrace Owners,

 

At long last, the major repairs and renovations have been completed.  We are now 100 % complete. Your staff, the Board of Directors, and I want to thank you for your patience and understanding during these past two difficult years since the hurricanes of 2004 did so much damage to Atlantic Terrace.

Our building staff of Kelly, Mary Jo, Mark, Ed, and Mike along with Karen and Stan Solomon of our management team. also deserve a large vote of thanks for their long hours and difficult tasks that did so much to restore our resort.   

We have received many great positive comments from those of you who have recently been at the resort.  Those of you who have yet to come have many pleasant surprises in store.

  • A brand new exterior in living color.

 

  • All public spaces have been freshly painted with all new signage directing you and your guests to all common areas as well as your individual units.

 

  • The elevator has been completely modernized with all of the latest updates and code requirements

 

  • Each unit has been completely refurbished with  new furniture, and a new updated decorating motif.

 

  • All 160 sliding doors and windows have been replaced with a new design that will protect the building from interior damage from future storms.  In order to prevent damage to the locks, PLEASE, WHEN OPENING THESE DOORS AND WINDOWS FOLLOW THE DIAGRAMS ON EACH DOOR OR WINDOW.

 

All unit hall entrance doors and frames have been replaced with new code conforming units.  New keypad door locks have been installed.  When you register, you will be advised of your entrace code.  This code is exclusive and will be changed for each new occupant.

The pool and hot tub have new water pumping and heating equipment.  New lounges, chairs, tables and umbrellas have been placed on the pool deck for your comfort.  The gazebo has been refurbished and repaired.

As always with any ocean front resort, there will be some minor renovation and repairs yet to be accomplished.  These will be done as time and money permits.  These will be done with a minimum of disturbance to you or your guests.    


Since I mentioned money, I hope that you all realize that the entire storm clean up and temporary restoration of the resort was accomplished with just the initial special assessment of $250.00 per unit week.  Thanks to the persistent great efforts of Karen and Stan Solomon all of the balance of the repairs and renovations were paid for by insurance. This is especially

important when you realize that many resorts assessed their owners thousands of dollars per unit week for their repairs.  There still are a number of facilities on the beach that have not yet reopened. Some will never reopen, and some are already completely gone.  We have been open since January 21, 2005.     

We now have two new board members, George Saba and Howard Champion.  I am quite certain that both of these gentlemen will contribute greatly to our resort.  George was elected Vice President of the Board during our February phone conference board meeting. 

Again, from the bottom of my heart, I thank each of you for your patience and understanding.     

As always, Maggie and I look forward to meeting with those of you who spend time in the resort while we are there in October, January, and February.
